SALEM, Mass. - On Monday, May 4, 2026, the Salem State University Athletic Department held the VeSPY Awards at Twohig Gymnasium in the O'Keefe Sports Complex.
Athletics Shatters Viking Warrior Day Record

SALEM, Mass. - Behind the generous support of 363 donors, Salem State University Athletics raised $31,132 during the annual 1,854-minute Viking Warrior Day campaign, setting a new program record for dollars raised in the nine-year history of the event. The University as a whole raised $188,832 with 743 donors, with Athletics accounting for nearly 48 percent of the total donors to the campaign.

Former Patriots Linebacker Ted Johnson to Host Guest Speaking Session-March 23

SALEM, Mass. - Join the Salem State athletic department as the school welcomes three-time Super Bowl champion and former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson on March 23 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. inside Twohig Gymnasium. This event is mandatory for all student-athletes, but others outside of athletics in the Salem State community are more than welcome to join.
Barry and Orleans Earn All-MASCAC Honors

SALEM, Mass. - The Salem State University men's basketball team saw two of its student-athletes earn All-MASCAC honors Wednesday afternoon. Ali Barry (Lynn, Mass.) was named to the All-Conference First Team, and Raheim Orleans (Attleboro, Mass.) earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. Salem has now had a student-athlete earn postseason Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) honors every year since 1997.
