Team Physicians/Directions

The mission of the athletic training services is to provide the highest quality athletic health care and safety to meet the needs of the intercollegiate athletic programs and its student-athletes. The athletic training staffs primary goals are to provide optimum injury care; to prevent, manage and rehabilitate injuries that do occur and to assure a safe and expedited return to participation.

The Certified Athletic Training staff work under the supervision and direction of the Team Physician and in affiliation with other off-site health care facilities to provide the highest quality medical care to the student-Athletes. The Medical Director is Dr. David St. Pierre. Additional staff include Dr. Doug Peterson, Orthopedic surgeon and Dr. Miguel Concepcion, Primary Care and Sports Medicine. We are also an affiliate member of the Boston's Children's Hospital.

In addition to the athletic training services provided to the Intercollegiate Athletic Department, the athletic training services work with the CAATE Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) to provide clinical education experiences for the ATEP students. The athletic training student is assured a high quality and valuable learning experience while at the same time assisting the certified athletic training staff in providing quality health care to the student-athletes.
