HOW IT HAPPENED:

Salem State struck first and set the tone early, as Daelyn Williams opened the scoring at the 9:00 mark of the first period, giving the Vikings a 1–0 lead. Williams finished off a well-worked play with assists from Mallory Albanese and Ginger Osgood, putting early pressure on the Raiders and energizing the Vikings' bench.
From there, the game turned into a tightly contested back-and-forth conference game.
