Wilkins Named LEC Co-Player of the Week

LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE OFFICIAL RELEASE

SALEM, Mass. - For the second time this season, Salem State men's tennis student-athlete Quentin Wilkins (Hamilton, Mass.) was named Little East Conference (LEC) Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference earlier today.

Wilkins had a strong week for the Vikings after going undefeated in singles action while also winning one doubles matchup. Last week against Southern Maine, he earned a doubles win at the No.1 spot, taking down the Huskies' top pairing, 6-1. In singles action that same match, he took care of his match in the No. 1 slot, 6-1, 6-3. Later in the week at Rhode Island College, Wilkins earned a hard-fought No.1 singles win by a score of 6-4, 7(11)-6(9). 

Coming up for Wilkins the Vikes, the squad hosts WestConn in the LEC Playoffs First round on Tuesday, April 28, at 3:30 p.m. at Gordon College. The winner of Tuesday's contest will then head to Bridgewater State on Thursday, April 30, for a LEC semifinals matchup at 3:00 p.m.
