Fisher Tops Salem State in Three Sets
SALEM, Mass. -- Fisher College rolled to a three-set win, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19 over Salem State on Wednesday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. The Falcons run their record to 5-4 while the Vikings slip to 2-7.

Five kills by Alicia Tkach spearheaded a set one win for Fisher. The Falcons opened up a 7-1 lead before Salem State battled back to draw within a point, 7-6. The Vikings temporarily took a one-point lead, 10-9 following a kill by Sabina Kamanda, but Fisher pulled away, closing the set on an 11-3 run, scoring six straight points off the serve of Natalia Ramirez.

Fisher hit .350% in set two, opening a commanding 10-1 lead, featuring a pair of aces by Paola Velazquez. Salem State managed to pull to within, 18-13 following a pair of aces by Dawn Eisnor, but a 7-1 run by the Falcons ended the Vikings chances.

Tkach and Ramirez each had four kills for Fisher in set three, as once again the Falcons took an early lead. Up 14-10, Fisher scored five of the next seven points, before winning the final set by six points.

Tkach finished with a match-high 11 kills and added six digs for Fisher. Alondra Farinacci led with 14 assists and contributed eight digs on defense.

The Falcons' Edsyl Irizarry led all players with nine digs.

Eva Haralabatos totalled 12 assists and five digs for Salem State.
