Sartori Named LEC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Mass. - After going a combined 2-0 between her singles and doubles matches last week, Madison Sartori (Amesbury, Mass.) was named the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference earlier today.

Last week in Salem's 7-0 sweep of WestConn State, Sartori and her doubles partner, Kenzie McLaren (Lynn, Mass.), won the No. 1 doubles slot, 6-4. Later during singles, the senior won in No. 1 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-2. By helping the Vikings reach a 3-0 start, it is their best since the 2011 season, when the squad began the year 7-0.

Sartori and the Vikings return home on Tuesday, September 30, at 4:00 p.m. when the squad hosts UMass Dartmouth.
