HOW IT HAPPENED:
Salem State pulled off a thrilling overtime victory after battling back from an early deficit in a fast-paced, back-and-forth contest. Rivier came out strong and struck twice in the first period to take an early lead, applying pressure offensively and testing Salem early. Despite the early goals, Salem State goaltender Delany Cox remained composed in net, making key saves to keep the game within reach as both teams traded quality chances and showcased strong defensive and offensive play.
Salem State flipped the script in the third period, erupting for three goals to complete the comeback. The first goal came from Addie McAughey, assisted by Talia Martucci and Emily Schneider, sparking momentum for the Vikings.
