Toledano Earns MASCAC Player of the Week Honors
SALEM, Mass. - After having a stellar week in Florida last week, Alanis Toledano (Boston, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Last week, Toledano and the Vikes went 5-3 while posting a .444 (8-18) batting average that included three doubles, a triple, three RBIs, and five walks. She also posted a .722 slugging percentage and .565 on-base percentage last week as well. Her strongest game came in a 3-0 win over Babson, where she was a factor on both sides. Offensively, she went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Meanwhile, on the mound, she threw a complete game while allowing just five hits and no runs.
Toledano and the Vikes have a busy week with the squad hosting Saint Joseph's College (Maine) for a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 25, with first pitch slated for 4:00 p.m. The squad then Mass. Maritime for its MASCAC opener on Saturday, March 28 for a doubleheader starting at noon. Salem then caps off the week on Sunday, March 29, in a doubleheader hosting UMaine-Farmington at noon.
