How It Happened

  • Scott Emerson's RBI single up the middle gave Bridgewater State a 4-0 lead in the second before Brendan Flaven made it 5-0 with a sacrifice fly to left.
  • Owen Duggan's two-run home run in the third drew Salem State to within 5-2.
  • Nolan Currier's RBI double in the fourth then made it a 5-3 game.
  • Yabdriel Gonzalez added an RBI fielder's choice in the eighth, but Salem State could not add the equalizer as Beach retired the side in the ninth with two strikeouts.
