Salem State Represents Well on LEC Academic Awards

SALEM, Mass. -The Little East Conference office announced its 2026 Spring All-Academic Teams earlier this week.  Salem State, which competes in men's tennis and men's lacrosse, placed nine of its student-athletes on the Spring All-Academic Team.

A student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the 2025 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in the institution for a full academic year.

Meanwhile, Salem State student-athletes were named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll for their academic performance in the spring 2025 semester. To be named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the term.

LEC Academic Honor Roll: Women's Tennis: Samantha Bidzerkowny (Wellsville, N.Y.), Delaney Cox (Spencer, Mass.), Sophie Games (London, GBR), Kenzie McLaren (Lynn, Mass.), Samantha Tenney (Danvers, Mass.), and Ryann Tripp (Wareham, Mass.)...Men's Tennis: Michael Makiej, Michael Muttiah, Quentin Wilkins, and Mark Wood...Men's Lacrosse: Finbar Cannon (Beverly, Mass.), Ryan Cohen, Brendan McCarron, Sean McWhinnie (Natick, Mass.), Jeremy Morris (Medford, Mass.), Ryan Rice, James Tatro (Byfield, Mass.), Joseph Turpin (Groveland, Mass.), and Connor Vittands (Gloucester, Mass.).
