  • Three Vikings Named to All-Conference Team, McNulty Tabbed Co-Coach of the Year

    SALEM, Mass. -- Morgan Adams (Scotia, N.Y.), Samantha Chaisson (Duxbury, Mass.) and Brynn O’Neill (Danvers, Mass.) were all named to the 2018 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Second-Team in an announcement by the league on Wednesday. Additionally, second-year head coach Karen McNulty earned Champion’s Choice Co-Coach of the Year with Bernie Chase of Worcester State after leading the Vikings to a 14-11 record and second place league finish.
  • #3 Westfield State Eliminates #2 Salem State from MASCAC Women's Volleyball Tournament

    SALEM, MASS. -- #3 Westfield State eliminated #2 Salem State 3-0 in the semifinals of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Thursday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. Ainsley MacLeod (Hampden, Mass.) recorded 19 kills on the night to lead the Owls into the championship match against top seed Worcester State on Saturday.
  • Rivier Tops Salem State 3-0

    NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier defeated Salem State 3-0 in women’s volleyball action on Wednesday evening. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, Conn.) racked up nine kills and 18 digs to lead the Raiders as Rivier improved to 23-6 on the season. The Vikings are now 14-9 on the year.
  • Vikings Dispatch Owls 3-1

    Salem, Mass. – Brynn O’Neill (Danvers, Mass.) recorded a match-high 12 kills and added 10 digs as Salem State defeated Westfield State 3-1 (25-11, 14-25, 25-16, 25-17) on “Senior Night” in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action on Wednesday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. The Vikings up their record to 13-8 and are now 5-1 in conference while the Owls slip to 7-13 and 4-2 in the MASCAC.
  • Salem State Improves to 4-1 in MASCAC

    Fitchburg, Mass. –  Morgan Adams (Scotia, N.Y.) had 20 assists and 15 digs while Brynn O’Neill (Danvers, Mass.) added nine kills, one service ace and three digs as Salem State defeated Fitchburg State 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 9-25) in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Parkinson Gymnasium. The Vikings move to 12-8 and 4-1 in the MASCAC while the Falcons go to 2-17 and 0-5. 
  • Colby Sawyer Outlasts Salem State on Think Pink Night

    SALEM, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer Chargers outlasted the Salem State Vikings in five sets on "Think Pink" night at Twohig Gymnasium. Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed 42 assists, 12 digs, and four kills to help the Chargers win its three sets 25-15, 25-11, and 15-12. Colby-Sawyer improves to 15-8 and the Vikings slip to 11-8 on the season.
  • Lancers Hand Vikings First Conference Loss

    SALEM, Mass. – Worcester State scored a 3-0 victory over Salem State and in the process took sole possession of first place in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in volleyball action at Twohig Gymnasium on Tuesday everning. The Lancers won by scores of 26-24, 25-13, and 25-14 and remain unbeaten at 4-0 in conference play. Worcester State improves to 12-7 on the season. The Vikings fall to 11-7 on the year and suffer their first loss in league play and are now 3-1.
  • Vikings Deliver Comeback Win Over Cadets

    Salem, Mass. – Salem State came back from a 2-0 deficit to claim an exciting 3-2 victory over Norwich on Thursday evening in non-conference volleyball action at Twohig Gymnasium. The Vikings earned the five-set win by scores of 22-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-14 and 16-14.
  • Polar Bears Blank Vikings 3-0

    BRUNSWICK, Maine –  Bowdoin College defeated Salem State 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening. The Polar Bears won 25-13, 25-7, 25-7  to improve to 14-1 on the season. The Vikings go to 10-6.
  • Vikings Win Tri-Meet, Win Streak at Four

    SALEM, Mass. – Salem State hosted MCLA and the University of St. Joseph in a tri-meet at Twohig Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings opened up with a 3-0 win over MCLA, 25-18, 25-10 and 25-19 and followed up with a four-set win over St. Joseph (Conn.) 27-25, 21-25, 25-17 and 25-14 to go 2-0 on the day. The Blue Jays defeated the Trailblazers in four sets, 25-20, 25-23, 19-25 and 25-15 to finish 1-1 while MCLA ended the day 0-2.
  • Vikings Put Away Rams 3-1

    SALEM, Mass. – Salem State notched a 3-1 win over Suffolk on Wednesday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. The Vikings won by scores of 25-17, 25-17, 27-25 and 25-11 to move to 6-4 on the season. The Rams go to 2-6.
  • Vikings Defeat Lesley for Fifth Win

    SALEM, Mass. – Salem State swept the Lesley Lynx 3-0 on Monday at Twohig Gymnasium for their fifth win of the season. The Vikings won (25-22, 25-15, 25-17) and improve to 5-4 on the season while the Lynx fall to 1-6.
  • WPI Tops Salem State 3-1

    SALEM, MASS. – Darcy McDowell (Goshen, N.Y.) had eight kills and 12 digs and Brynn O’Neill (Danvers, Mass.) added six kills as Salem State lost in four sets to WPI on Saturday afternoon at Harrington Auditorium. The Vikings are now 4-4 on the season while the Engineers improve to 8-2.
  • Salem State Earns Second Straight Shutout

    SALEM, MASS. – Salem State won their second straight match and third in four games with a 3-0 sweep of Mitchell College on Thursday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. The Vikings dispatched the Mariners by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-20.
  • Vikings Win 3-0 Against Mass Maritime

    BUZZARDS BAY, MASS. -- Salem State picked up a MASCAC conference win with 3-0 shutout of Mass Maritime on Tuesday evening at Clean Harbors Athletic Center. The Vikings won 25-17, 25-11 and 25-12 to improve to 4-3 on the year and 1-0 in conference. The Buccaneers slip to 0-3 and 0-1 in the league.
  • Vikings Earn Split At UMass Dartmouth Tri-Meet

    SALEM, MASS. – Salem State shutout Lesley, but lost in straight sets to the host Corsairs to finish 1-1 on the day at their tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at UMass Dartmouth. The Vikings won 25-16, 25-13 and 25-19, before stumbling 25-20, 25-15, and 25-23.
  • Rhode Island College Sweeps Salem State

    SALEM, MASS. – Rhode Island College swept Salem State 3-0 in volleyball action at Twohig Gymnasium on Thursday evenings. The Anchorwomen won 25-9, 25-15 and 26-24 to improve to 2-3 on the year. The Vikings slip to 1-2.
  • Vikings Hold Off Becker 3-2

    SALEM, MASS. – Salem State won a fifth and deciding set 15-11 to defeat the Becker Hawks 3-2 in the Vikings' season opener on Tuesday evening at Twohig Gymnasium. Salem State opens the year at 1-0 while Becker slips to 2-1.

    BEVERLY, MASS. – Salem State lost 3-1 to Endicott on Wednesday evening in a women’s volleyball match at MacDonald Gymnasium. The Vikings even their record at 1-1 while the Gulls move to 3-1.
  • Salem State 6th in MASCAC Preseason Poll - Volleyball Preview

    SALEM, MASS. – Second-year coach Karen McNulty made tremendous strides in her first season as the head women's volleyball coach, catapulting the Vikings to 11 victories against 16 losses, the first time Salem State has reached double digits in wins since 2002. Their 3-4 MASCAC record was their best showing since 2004.
