Buzzards Bay, Mass. — Salem State College senior first baseman Steve Mucci has been named to the 2010 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference second team in a vote taken of the conference’s eight coaches.

A native of Walkill, NY., Mucci  batted .358 during the regular season with a league-leading eight homers and 29 RBI's, as he added 12 doubles and recorded a .635 slugging percentage. Mucci led the Vikings in hits and runs scored and helped the Vikings to an 18-18 overall record.
