Gill/Malosse Named Little East Players of the Week

N. Dartmouth, MA - Junior lacrosse goalie Brendan Gill and senior tennis player Adrien Malosse were honored by the Little East conference as players of the week. Gill led Salem State to a 3-0 week and has helped the Vikings to third place in the standings. Malosse won for the sixth straight time in top fight singles and continued his strong play in doubles as the Vikings remained unbeaten in Little East Conference play with a perfect 4-0 record.
Goalie of the Week
Brendan Gill (Chelmsford, Mass.), Junior, Salem State College
Gill was solid between the pipes for Salem State College this past week, posting a 3-0 record and a .757 save percentage, while stopping 53 shots. The Chelmsford, Mass. product reached double figures in saves in all three games, including a pair of 20-plus outings. Gill recorded a season-high 23 stops against Western Connecticut, including 12 in the fourth frame. He also turned back 20 attempts at Southern Maine this past weekend.
Player of the Week
Adrien Malosse (Triel Sur Seine, France, Senior, Salem State College
Malosse raised his personal winning streak to six matches with a pair of victories at top-flight singles to lead Salem State to a 2-0 week. He defeated his opponents from UMass Dartmouth (6-2, 6-3) and Bridgewater State (6-1, 6-1) in straight sets. Malosse also combined with his doubles partner to earn victories over the Corsairs and Bears.
