Brianna Wilson Earns MASCAC Player of the Week Honors

Salem State freshman center Brianna Wilson was named as the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Saturday evening after averaging 16.5 points and nine rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Lady Vikings.

MASCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week 

Brianna Wilson, Salem State (Fr., C, Lowell, Mass.) -- Averaged 16.5 points and nine rebounds in 2-0 week for Vikings, including double-double effort of 15 points and 11 boards in 67-60 overtime victory at Worcester State to go with 18 points and seven caroms in 78-60 victory over regular season champion Bridgewater State.

MASCAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Corey Cuddihy, Bridgewater State (Jr., G, Scituate, Mass.) -- Averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 as- sists in 1-1 week for regular season champion Bears, including 18 points, eight boards and five assists in 62-57 title clinching victory over MCLA. 

Melissa Profitt, Fitchburg State (Jr., F, Hubbardston, Mass.) -- Averaged 15 points and 6.5 rebounds in 0-2 week for Falcons, including 17 points and seven boards in 58-47 setback to Westfield State to go with 13 points and six caroms in 72-67 setback at MCLA. 

Kia Minor, Framingham State (Fr., F, Oak Bluffs, Mass.) -- Scored 16 points on 7-13 shooting effort to go with seven rebounds and three steals in Rams’ 66-53 setback at Westfield State. 

Lucy Tremblay, MCLA (Fr., G, East Greenbush, N.Y.) -- Averaged 17.5 points and four assists in 1-1 week for Trailblazers, including career-high 24 points in 72-67 victory over Fitchburg State. 

Briana Kelly, Westfield State (Fr., G, Hampden, Mass.) -- Averaged 16 points and 1.5 steals in 2-0 week for Owls, including 18 points in 66-53 victory over Framingham State to go with 14 points in 58-47 triumph at Fitchburg State. 

Kaleigh Charette, Worcester State (So., G, Fairhaven, Mass.) -- Averaged 16.5 points and six rebounds in 0-2 week for Lancers, including 18 points in 66-44 setback at Tufts to go with 15 points and eight caroms in 67-60 over- time setback to Salem State.
