The Mules (7-2), which have now won six games in a row, held an early 2-0 lead in the first period. The goals came from the sticks of Mike Doherty (Lynnfield, MA) and Matt Rappaport (Livingston, NJ). Colby opened the game up in the second period on a goal by Buonomo that gave the Mules a comfortable 3-0 lead.

The first one came early in the third period by Nick Lampson (Groton, MA) who added his team-high eighth goal of the season. After backup goalie Jared Tepper (Monroe Township, NJ) entered the game, Matt Kenline (Yarmouth, MA) tallied the second Salem State goal seconds after finishing a stint in the penalty box.
